TNR Gold Corp. (“TNR”) is very pleased to announce that Hari B. Varshney, FCA has agreed to join TNR’s board of directors. Mr. Varshney has been involved in raising over $150 million for various venture capital projects around the world. He has been in the venture capital business since 1985 and during this period has been a director and/or officer of many public companies trading on various North American exchanges. He is a partner in Varshney Capital Corp., a merchant banking and corporate advisory firm based in Vancouver, BC.

Mr. Varshney has also been very actively involved in the community and supported various charitable projects for over 25 years. He is currently the Chair of St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, and a director of Canada India Village Aid Association (CIVA), and the Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Varshney was also one of the 2006 British Columbia Achievement Awards recipients.

The Company advises that 1,600,000 incentive stock options have been granted to directors, officers, employees and consultants of the Company. The options are exercisable at $0.20 per share for a period of two years, subject to regulatory approval.
